Job description
Contribute to the development of new applications built on the existing platform (e.g., CAD-based quote tool).
Lead application development from scratch including tech stack selection, domain modeling, and architecture design.
Work cross-functionally with PMs, designers, and engineers to ensure project success.
Help build a high-performing, globally-minded engineering team operating in English.
Take ownership and demonstrate leadership to scale engineering at a pace exceeding T2D3 benchmarks.
Development Environment
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Backend: Rust (axum), Node.js (Express, Fastify, NestJS)
- Infrastructure: Docker, GCP, Kubernetes, Istio, Cloudflare
- DevOps: GitHub, ArgoCD, Terraform, Datadog, etc.
- Data: PostgreSQL, BigQuery, AlloyDB
- API: REST, GraphQL, gRPC
- Auth: Auth0
- Tools: GitHub Copilot, Figma, Storybook, Slack, JIRA
Requirement
Must-have:
- 5+ years of web application development on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Led projects with 5+ members and shown leadership via:
- Designing architecture and leading complex features
- Handling performance, observability, availability, ambiguity
- Using multiple programming languages
- Fluent English for high-context communication in an English-only team
Nice-to-have:
- Development experience in Docker-native infrastructure
- Backend development using statically typed languages
- Selected tech stacks based on technical/business trade-offs
- Designed job infrastructure with async tasks
- Led CI/CD setup, Docker workflows, and coding standard enforcement
- Full-stack experience with React.js
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in complex domains
- Built and maintained microservices in distributed systems
- Developed secure web applications following modern best practices
- Completed multi-stakeholder projects as lead

- Annual salary: 8.5M–12M JPY (split into 12 monthly payments)
