Job description
This position is part of the Workflow Engine team under the Platform organization, responsible for building and maintaining an asynchronous, concurrent, and scalable execution platform in collaboration with other teams.
Examples of tasks handled by the platform:
- Drawing file conversion
- Attribute extraction from drawings
- Drawing analysis using machine learning
Key technologies include Kubernetes for workflow orchestration, and Rust/TypeScript for implementing domain logic as workflow steps.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of the workflow platform
- Evaluation and selection of middleware/frameworks
- System architecture design
- Cost and performance optimization
Depending on your experience and preferences, you may be assigned to other teams. Your role may change over time according to individual career plans or organizational changes.
Requirement
Must-have:
- 7+ years of backend development experience for web applications
- Experience with architectural design and technology decision-making
- Proficiency in statically typed languages such as Rust, Java, C++, or Go
- Experience with service operation using Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Development and operation of large-scale services
- Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
- Business-level English proficiency (team communication is in English)
Nice-to-have:
- Conversational Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher recommended)
- Practical experience with Rust
- Experience in developing with security in mind
- Experience in two or more programming languages (including frontend or personal projects)
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog
