Job description

The following are examples of tasks. Actual responsibilities are not limited to these examples. The specifics of the role will be determined based on your technical expertise, specialized knowledge, and experience after joining the company.

  • Building operational environments for API and batch processing that perform machine learning model inference, as well as deployment environments using CI/CD.
  • Implementing measures to improve site reliability, including monitoring and performance tuning in production environments.
  • Developing, maintaining, and operating machine learning processing pipelines on Vertex or Argo Workflow.
  • Optimizing the cost of inference and training platforms.
  • Communicating with modeling and platform team members to document processes.

Requirement

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and operating services using cloud services such as Google Cloud or AWS.
  • Basic knowledge of container technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience in team development and operations using Git and CI/CD.
  • Application development experience in Python, Rust, Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, or similar languages.
  • Fluent business-level Japanese communication skills.
  • Ability to perform daily work, including text communication and meetings, entirely in Japanese (e.g., equivalent to JLPT N2 level or approximately three years of work experience in a Japanese environment).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing machine learning pipelines using tools such as Vertex AI Pipeline, Kubeflow, Apache Beam, or Spark.
  • Development experience related to MLOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Experience collaborating with ML Engineers to continuously improve and deliver machine learning and data science models.
  • Development experience considering load and scalability in large-scale services.
  • Experience building and operating Data Lakes or Feature Stores.
  • Experience implementing measures to enhance data quality for improving machine learning models in a data-centric approach.
  • Experience planning and promoting data utilization initiatives internally and externally using tools like BigQuery or Redash.
  • Basic knowledge of algorithms related to machine learning, statistics, linear algebra, and computer science.

Benefits

Salary:

  • The expected annual salary upon joining the company ranges from 7 million yen to 12 million yen.
  • Salary increase twice a year.
  • The annual salary will be divided by 12 and paid as a fixed monthly salary.

  • Transportation expenses reimbursed at actual cost:
  • Up to 30,000 yen per month, paid according to the number of days worked in the office.
  • For employees living far away, up to 60,000 yen per month.

Primarily remote:

  • However, to encourage interaction among team members, we recommend a weekly office attendance day and hold offsite meetings once or twice a quarter.
  • Details may vary by team, so please feel free to ask questions during interviews or meetings.
  • We have several members based outside of the metropolitan area, including Chubu, Kansai, and Kyushu. If you prefer to work in the office, you are welcome to use the office at any time.

Flexible working hours system (Core hours from 11:00 to 16:00).
