Job description
Your work will focus on the following areas, based on Google's recommended SRE practices:
- Emergency Response:
- Developing mechanisms and training to ensure the quality of emergency responses.
- Leading actual troubleshooting and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
- Metrics & Monitoring:
- Promoting the introduction of observability.
- Implementing and operating SLI/SLOs based on product policies.
- Capacity Planning:
- Forecasting load increases accompanying service growth.
- Designing and conducting load tests.
- Addressing bottlenecks not only in infrastructure but also in applications.
- Change Management:
- Disseminating practices like gradual delivery in release engineering.
Note: Tasks after joining will not be limited to the areas listed above. Responsibilities will be reviewed and adjusted flexibly to achieve the best outcomes according to product strategies and business conditions.
Requirement
Required Qualifications:
- Business communication skills in Japanese.
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Practical experience in an SRE team or a similar role.
- Experience in designing, building, and operating architectures using cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Operational experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in developing and operating web applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business-level proficiency in English.
- Basic knowledge of networking.
- Experience in building and operating distributed systems.
- Experience in designing and operating the backend of web applications (preferably with statically typed languages).
- Experience in designing and operating systems using Google Cloud.
- Experience in designing and operating monitoring platforms such as Datadog.
- Experience in instilling an SRE culture within an organization (team setup, enabling other teams, training, advocacy, etc.).
- Practical SRE experience in engineering teams of 50+ members.
- Operational experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in developing and operating web applications.
Benefits
Salary:
- The expected annual salary upon joining the company ranges from 7 million yen to 12 million yen.
- Salary increase twice a year.
- The annual salary will be divided by 12 and paid as a fixed monthly salary.
