Job description
As a backend lead for our smart quotation system, you’ll be responsible for selecting the right technologies, designing scalable architecture, and delivering high-quality software.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead technical decisions and architecture design for a rapidly growing product
- Build sustainable and maintainable backend applications
- Develop and execute technical strategies aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with the engineering team to solve complex challenges

Requirement
Must-Have:
- Proven experience leading development with technical expertise
- Experience solving delivery challenges in product or project settings
- Fluent business-level Japanese (e.g. JLPT N2+ or 3+ years working in Japanese environment)
Nice-to-Have:
- Backend experience with statically typed languages (e.g., Rust, Scala)
- Familiarity with Docker-native infrastructure
- Led Agile or Scrum-based process improvement
- Experience designing large-scale systems across multiple teams
- Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Security-conscious web development practices
- Business-level English is a plus
