Job description
- Responsible for building, maintaining, and operating backend infrastructure to continuously integrate ML and Data Science outcomes into the product.
- Expected to lead data collection pipeline construction and data utilization initiatives from a technical platform perspective.
Examples of Tasks:
- Build API and batch infrastructure for ML; set up deployment environment using CI/CD.
- Performance tuning and monitoring in production (SRE).
- Develop and maintain synchronous/asynchronous ML pipelines.
- Optimize infrastructure costs for inference and training.
- Collaborate and document workflows with ML and platform engineers.
- Potential to work on frontend demos or develop ML models based on skills and preferences.
Requirement
Must-Have:
- Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS).
- Basic knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Experience in team development with Git and CI/CD.
- Proficient in Python, Rust, Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, or C++.
- Experience building scalable systems with performance considerations.
- Business-level fluency in Japanese (e.g., JLPT N1 or 3+ years working in Japanese environment).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in SRE, backend, or MLOps development.
- Experience with Vertex AI, Kubeflow, Apache Beam, Spark for ML pipelines.
- Experience using BigQuery, Redash for internal/external data initiatives.
- Track record in improving data quality for ML performance.
- Foundational knowledge in statistics, ML, linear algebra, and computer science algorithms.

Work Location
- Remote work is the primary working style.
- To encourage interaction among team members, the company organizes:
- Recommended in-office workdays about once a week
- Offsite meetings about 1–2 times per quarter

- Several members who live outside the Tokyo metropolitan area—such as in the Chubu, Kansai, and Kyushu regions—are also actively working.
