Job description
In this role, you will lead backend development, including architecture design and technology decisions, to build scalable and high-quality systems.
Expected responsibilities include:
- Leading technology selection and architecture decisions for rapidly scaling services
- Building backend applications with a focus on long-term maintainability
- Developing and executing technology strategies aligned with business goals
- Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and improve engineering productivity
Requirement
Required:
- Experience leading development with strong technical expertise
- Proven track record in resolving delivery-related challenges in product or project settings
- Fluent Japanese communication skills (e.g. JLPT N2 or 3+ years in a Japanese environment
Preferred:
- Backend development using statically typed languages
- Experience working with Docker-native infrastructure
- Scrum/agile team facilitation experience
- Experience in large-scale system design across multiple teams
- Domain-driven development (DDD) experience
- Experience with functional languages such as Rust or Scala
- Security-aware web development
- Business-level English skills
