Job description

There are various interpretations and approaches to Platform Engineering in the world, but here, we will be working on providing tools and infrastructure to reduce the cognitive load on developers by “separating concerns.”

Among these, in this post, you will be working on the following tasks:

  • Communication and collaboration with developers to increase the value provided
  • Development and operation of self-service tools and platform Improvement of development processes and environments, not limited to the provision of new tools
  • Besides the team we are recruiting for this time, you may be assigned to other teams depending on your experience and preferences. (In that case, we would be happy to discuss this with you at the interview.)

Requirement

Qualifications:

  • Experience in autonomously promoting platform engineering or equivalent to Tech Lead (see job description)
  • Experience in designing and developing web applications in a statically typed language
  • Hands-on software development experience of at least7 years
  • Business-level English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of operating container technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Experience of practicing Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Experience of designing and operating CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience of designing and operating distributed systems
  • Experience of designing and operating systems using Google Cloud
  • Experience of designing and operating monitoring platforms such as Datadog
  • Experience of practicing data engineering such as data infrastructure and ETL
  • Experience of practicing platform engineering in an engineering team of over 50 people
  • Conversational-level Japanese proficiency(Japanese
  • Language Proficiency Test N2 or above is a guideline; communication is a mix of Japanese and English).

Benefits

Salary:

  • The expected annual salary upon joining the company ranges from 8.5 million yen to 12 million yen.
  • Salary increase twice a year.
  • The annual salary will be divided by 12 and paid as a fixed monthly salary.

  • Up to 30,000 yen per month, paid according to the number of days worked in the office.

  • We have several members based outside of the metropolitan area, including Chubu, Kansai, and Kyushu. If you prefer to work in the office, you are welcome to use the office at any time.
