Job description
[Job Overview]
- A smart factory utilizes digital technologies such as AI and IoT to network machine tools and production lines, leading to a more efficient and productive factory. This position will be responsible for promoting and implementing smart factories through the integration of manufacturing and IT.
- After joining the company, you will undergo three months of training to acquire the following three skills:
- Sensing Skills: Deepen understanding of sensor equipment.
- Statistical and Analytical Skills: Analyze data to identify causes and perform causal analysis.
- Data Processing Skills: Process large amounts of data using tools like macros, VBA, and Python.
[Expected Duties]
- Promote smart factory initiatives in the design of production equipment, line design, and process design during the product development phase at various manufacturing companies.
- In the product development process at various manufacturers, you will confirm specifications and design content, plan and execute evaluation plans, and analyze the results.
- Visualize production capacity and production plans, and propose optimal production plans during the product development process.
[Future Prospects]
- After gaining sufficient practical experience, you will aim for Smart Factory Level 3, which involves collaboration between humans and cooperative robots.
- You will also have the career path option to become a consultant, providing advice and consulting services to companies wishing to implement factory IoT.
[Project Examples]
- Selecting sensors to extract data from existing equipment and planning approaches.
- Visualizing the operating status of production equipment using sensors.
- Visualizing processed data using BI tools, or performing causal analysis.
- Calculating production efficiency using AI and planning optimizations.
[Initial Work Location]
- The initial assignment is expected to be within the Tokai region. Future transfers may involve relocation to other regions across Japan, including Kanto, Tokai, Kansai, and Kyushu. The initial assignment will be decided after thoroughly considering your preferred location and suitability.
Requirement
Mandatory Requirements: As this is a training hire, requirements vary based on age and experience (details provided separately).
- Skill Requirement ①:
- More than 5 years of experience in production management, quality management, or production line work.
- Practical experience with Excel functions (IF level).
- Some learning experience in programming languages (C, VBA). PLC design is also acceptable (ladder logic).
- Must have a PC at home.
- Skill Requirement ②:
- More than 2 years of experience in production management, quality management, or production line work.
- Experience creating reports in Excel.
- Some learning experience in programming languages (C, VBA).
- Must be a graduate of a science or engineering program.
- Must have a PC at home.

- The monthly salary includes contribution allowance.
- Salary Review: Once a year (April)
- Bonuses: Twice a year (June, December)
- A higher salary range is available depending on specialization.
- Salary Examples: 4.6 million yen/year at age 25, 5.87 million yen/year at age 30, 6.3 million yen/year at age 35, 7 million yen/year at age 40 (including 30 hours of overtime).
Work time
- 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (actual working time: 8 hours).
