Job Description
We are currently looking for an IT Systems Developer to join our team in the development of IT systems for automotive connected services. The role involves planning and proposing next-generation service developments, collaborating with various teams during the development process, and ensuring the smooth implementation and maintenance of the systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with in-vehicle ECU development teams and domestic/international dealership teams to define system specifications.
- Lead various project phases, including requirements definition, basic design, and operational maintenance design (including vendor collaboration).
- Plan and execute external integration tests and comprehensive system tests.
- Establish an operational maintenance structure and support service deployment.
Technologies & Products
You will be working on cloud-based systems for connected services, including:
- Vehicle control via smartphone applications
- Over-the-Air (OTA) software update systems
- Plug and Charge services for electric vehicles

Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Practical experience in project management (vendor management, progress tracking, task management, issue resolution, root cause analysis).
- Experience in software and IT systems development.
- Strong negotiation and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in developing cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS or other public clouds).
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Experience in the automotive industry.

Employment Details
- Job Type: Full-time (contract-based employment may be considered depending on qualifications).
- Work Location: Tokyo, Japan (Remote work options available).
- Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Actual working hours: 8 hours/day).
- Expected Overtime: Approx. 20 hours per month.
- Holidays: 2 days off per week (Saturday & Sunday), national holidays, year-end & New Year holidays, paid leave, special leave, maternity/paternity leave, and disaster leave.
- Annual Leave: 122 days.
Salary & Compensation
- Annual Salary Range: JPY 4,000,000 – JPY 8,000,000.
- Monthly Salary: JPY 256,000 – JPY 516,000 (to be determined based on company policies and experience level).
- Salary Review: Once per year.
- Bonus: Twice per year (additional performance-based bonuses may be awarded).
- Other Allowances: Commuting allowance (up to JPY 150,000 per month), overtime allowance (paid per minute), and role-based allowances.
