Restaurant Hall Service Duties at a Resort Hotel on Amami Oshima Island
While the restaurant is part of the resort hotel, it also attracts many non-staying guests. The restaurant is renowned for its quality, with a head chef who has supervised JAL's first-class dinner menu, offering original dishes that make the most of the island's ingredients.
We aim to transform this restaurant into a place that not only serves hotel guests but also attracts more outside customers, spreading vitality throughout the island.
No matter how delicious the food is, the way it is served, presented, and explained can make a significant difference in guest evaluations. This is a crucial role that impacts not only the restaurant but the entire facility, and the wide range of responsibilities makes the job both engaging and enjoyable.
The work is shift-based, covering two of the three meal periods: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant has a staff of about 15-18, with around 7 members in the hall service team.
This is the company's only restaurant operation, so there is a high degree of freedom in the role. You can collaborate with the head chef to provide seasonal island-inspired drinks, manage procurement, change menus, and develop new concepts, as well as engage in sales and social media activities.
You will gain a strategic perspective on restaurant management, from understanding costs to profits. The company is open about its financials, so your work will be directly reflected in the results.
Working as a team provides a strong sense of accomplishment, and with many repeat guests, you can closely interact with customer feedback through surveys and reviews, which is very motivating. Many staff members have gone on to open their own restaurants after working here, and we have a system in place to share this know-how.

Salary Details:
- Full-time employee: 193,000 yen to 350,000 yen (depending on experience)
