Job description
You will take on the crucial role of the "command center" for the entire facility. Your responsibilities will include managing the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel building and equipment.
In addition to hotel-related tasks, you will also address inquiries from guests about the restaurant, diving, tourism, and travel methods to the island. The role also involves handling check-in and check-out procedures and the associated payments.
You will be involved in creating and managing accommodation plans on the website, overseeing reservations, and dealing with irregular situations that arise during guests' stays. Additionally, you will manage documents related to accommodation (such as budget management and invoices), estimate and order construction work, and act as a liaison with relevant agencies for permits and applications if needed. You may also perform simple repair and maintenance tasks.
This is an important role that affects the overall evaluation of the facility, with a wide scope of responsibilities that keep the work engaging and enjoyable, requiring multitasking abilities. After joining the company, you will initially work alongside the current manager to understand the full scope of duties. As you master the tasks, you will gradually take on more responsibilities and expand your work area.
Since this is the company's only lodging operation in Amami, there is a high degree of freedom in the role. You will collaborate with other staff to plan and execute various tasks from start to finish, which will provide a strong sense of accomplishment. Your scope of activity is broad, including sales-related tasks and the use of social media.
